Work Matters

Connecting Sunday Worship to Monday Work

Having worked in the trades, in sales, as well as vocational ministry, I’ve learned that many Christians think that what they do matters less to God than what a person employed by the church, a mission, or a parachurch ministry does. The “secular/sacred” division remains rooted in some minds despite not originating in Scripture. What if your accounting, your manufacturing, your nursing, your plumbing work, your homemaking, the business you run, or even going to school matters JUST as much to God as a pastor’s or missionary’s work? As Martin Luther said, “God doesn’t need our good works, but our neighbor does”. Come and be refreshed by a new vision for what you spend most of your days doing.
