The God Who Fights for Us

Where does your life feel like a battle currently? Where do you feel like you are engaged in a fight that you can’t seem to win and that you don’t control the outcome of? There are all sorts of battles we may fight in this life. Those battles are evidence of the fact that as God’s people we are in a war with spiritual forces. The war we are called to fight looks much different than the one Joshua and the Israelites were called to fight, but the way we are called to fight looks similar in many ways. We do not fight in our own strength or power but in relying on the God who fights for us. Joshua 6 reminds us that in any and every battle victory ultimately belongs to the LORD and God can do what is impossible for us to do. During the battles we face God calls us to trust and obey Him as we patiently wait to see what He will do.
